Turkey

The Government of Pakistan has unveiled an official educational visit to Türkiye for the top-performing students of Matric examinations from all boards across the country. The initiative, announced through a circular by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), is being organized by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in collaboration with the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports.

This program will allow outstanding students from Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) nationwide to travel to Türkiye on official passports, recognizing their academic achievements while strengthening educational and cultural ties between the two countries.

Key Requirements for Students

According to the advisory, all selected students must meet the following conditions before departure:

  • Medical Fitness: A medical certificate from a government hospital confirming the student is fit for travel.
  • Parental Consent: Written approval from parents or guardians is mandatory.
  • Dress Code: Each student must arrange two white shalwar kameez suits with shoes, while the ministry will provide a green blazer.
  • Baggage Rules: Students may carry only one shoulder bag. Laptops and cameras are strictly prohibited.
  • Emergency Contact: Contact details of parents or guardians must be submitted in advance.

In addition, the IBCC clarified that pick and drop services for the students will be arranged by the respective boards at their own expense.

Documentation Deadline

The IBCC has directed all BISEs to submit the official passports and required documents of the selected students to the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad by September 19, 2025. These will then be forwarded to the relevant authorities for processing.

Supervision and Coordination

To ensure smooth execution, the chairpersons of all BISEs have been tasked with closely supervising the process. They will also guide the students and their families regarding documentation, compliance with requirements, and preparations for the trip.

This initiative not only recognizes the efforts of Pakistan’s brightest students but also provides them with an opportunity to gain international exposure, build cross-cultural understanding, and represent Pakistan abroad.
