The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has announced that its entire collection of school textbooks is now available online at no cost, offering open access to students, teachers, and parents across the province.
This initiative covers textbooks from Grade 1 to Grade 12 in both Urdu and English mediums, ensuring that learners in all regions of Punjab can easily obtain standardized educational material without financial barriers.
How to Access the Textbooks
The textbooks can be downloaded through the official PCTB portal. Users simply need to select their class and medium to access subject-wise PDFs. The collection includes textbooks for:
- Urdu
- English
- Mathematics
- General Science
- Islamiat
- Social Studies
- Computer Science
- And other core subjects
Each book is available in PDF format, allowing students to use them on mobile devices, laptops, or tablets.
Additional Digital Resources
Alongside the PCTB’s official portal, several supplementary platforms have been launched to support digital learning:
- eLearn Punjab – Provides interactive versions of textbooks, complete with video lessons, animations, and simulations, primarily for Science and Mathematics subjects.
- Ustad360 and Taleem360 – Third-party portals that compile PCTB textbooks in a structured way, enabling users to browse by class and subject for quick PDF downloads.
Educational Impact
Authorities have clarified that the textbooks are intended strictly for educational and personal use. To ensure accuracy and authenticity, users are encouraged to rely on the official PCTB website for the most updated versions.
By digitizing the entire textbook collection, Punjab has taken a major step toward equalizing access to education, particularly benefiting students in remote or underserved areas. The move ensures that every learner, regardless of their background, can study using the same standardized resources.
