Flood-Affected Areas of KP

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has delivered 48 tons of relief supplies from Karachi to Peshawar to support communities affected by the devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the aid was transported via a special Air Eagle B-737 aircraft and included dry food rations and essential items for families who have lost access to basic necessities.

NDMA to Oversee Distribution

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) will manage the distribution of the relief goods to ensure they reach the most vulnerable households. Officials emphasized that the focus is on swift, transparent, and fair delivery, leaving no affected family behind.

Air Bridge to Hard-Hit Districts

To improve access to severely damaged areas, an air bridge has been established to connect districts such as Buner and Shangla, where roads have been badly disrupted. Authorities believe this step will accelerate relief efforts in remote regions that remain cut off due to flood damage.

PAF’s Ongoing Role in Relief Operations

The PAF reaffirmed its commitment to standing with the nation during natural disasters, pledging to continue its role in rescue and relief missions. Military officials highlighted that further aid operations could follow, as assessments of the damage and humanitarian needs are still ongoing.

A Vital Step Toward Recovery

The delivery of 48 tons of relief supplies marks a significant step in supporting flood-affected families. Officials stressed that these efforts reflect both the solidarity of the armed forces with the people and the nation’s resilience in the face of natural calamities.
