Unicorn **BigPanda** acquires **Velocity** at a valuation lower than the **$22 million** it had previously raised

The deal brings the system reliability startup under BigPanda’s AI operations umbrella as the Israeli unicorn deepens its automation push.
Israeli unicorn BigPanda is acquiring Velocity, a company specializing in system reliability management and supporting response teams during major incidents.

Velocity has raised approximately $22 million to date, and Calcalist has learned that the acquisition value will be lower than the total amount it raised.

BigPanda has raised about $340 million across several funding rounds, most recently at a valuation of around $1.2 billion. Its investors include Advent International, Insight Partners, Battery Ventures, Sequoia, Greenfield Partners, and others.

BigPanda automates operational processes across enterprise IT systems, helping predict and prevent failures before they affect customers. The acquisition of Velocity deepens that capability: the company’s expertise, technology, and customer-focused approach align naturally with BigPanda’s mission.
