Federal Minister for Water Resources Muhammad Mueen Watto met with the Ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

Condemnation of Israeli Attack

Minister Watto strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on Qatar, extending heartfelt condolences and well-wishes on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistanis hold a deep sense of affection and respect for Qatar and stand united with the Qatari people during challenging times.

Support for Palestine

The minister welcomed the recent decision by several European countries to formally recognize Palestine, describing it as a crucial step toward regional justice and peace. He reiterated Pakistan’s consistent stance of supporting the Palestinian cause and its unwavering solidarity with Muslim nations.

Expanding Workforce Opportunities

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Khater acknowledged the valuable role of Pakistan’s skilled workforce in Qatar and expressed interest in increasing the number of Pakistani workers to meet the Gulf state’s growing labor demands. He also noted Pakistan’s rich natural resources and assured Qatar’s continued support for Pakistan in facing future challenges.

Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Minister Watto highlighted the resilience demonstrated by Pakistan’s political and military leadership during regional conflicts, underscoring Pakistan’s determination to defend its sovereignty.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including manpower, resources, and strategic partnerships. The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to further strengthen the historic ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
