Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V of BTS, has made headlines with a major real estate purchase in one of Seoul’s most exclusive neighborhoods. According to a report by Sports Chosun, the singer acquired a luxury residence in Cheongdam-dong for a staggering 14.2 billion won (approx. Rs. 89.8 crore) — paid entirely in cash.
A Palace in the Sky
The apartment, measuring 273.96㎡, features five rooms and three bathrooms, offering sweeping space and privacy. V reportedly signed the purchase agreement in May, just a month before completing his military service, and officially took ownership in September.
The building itself is considered one of Seoul’s most elite residential complexes, with only 29 residences spanning from the 6th basement to the 20th floor. His celebrity neighbors include actors Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, professional golfer Park In-bee, and renowned instructor Hyun Woo-jin.
Not His First Luxury Property
This isn’t V’s first foray into real estate. Back in 2018, he invested in a $4.5 million apartment, cementing his status as one of the wealthiest idols in K-pop. His latest purchase, however, sets a new benchmark for the “post-army comeback lifestyle.”
BTS’s Next Chapter
On the professional front, BTS recently reunited following their military service. The group has been working in the United States on their highly anticipated comeback album, set for release next year.
During their first Weverse Live together since regrouping, the band hinted that the upcoming project would take them back to their musical roots, sparking speculation among fans that the album could echo the energy of early tracks like Boy in Luv and Danger.
With both personal milestones and group projects ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for V and BTS.
