The Government of Pakistan has unveiled a special initiative offering an official educational visit to Türkiye for students who excelled in the recent matriculation examinations across all educational boards. The program, announced through a circular by the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), is designed to reward high achievers and provide them with valuable international exposure.
Program Details
Organized by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training in partnership with the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, the visit will bring together top-performing students from Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) nationwide.
Participants will travel on official passports, marking their recognition as part of a formal government delegation.
Eligibility and Requirements
The IBCC has laid out clear conditions that students must fulfill before joining the trip. These include:
- A medical fitness certificate issued by a government hospital
- Written consent from parents or guardians
- Preparation of two white shalwar kameez suits with matching shoes
- Submission of contact details of parents/guardians for communication during travel
To maintain uniformity, the ministry will provide each student with an official green blazer for the visit.
In terms of travel rules, students may only carry one shoulder bag. The use of laptops and cameras has been prohibited during the trip.
Travel and Expenses
The IBCC has confirmed that pick-and-drop expenses for the participants will be covered by the respective educational boards. Each board has been instructed to assist students fully and ensure smooth arrangements.
Documentation and Deadlines
The circular has set September 19, 2025, as the deadline for all BISEs to forward the passports and required documents of the selected students to the IBCC Secretariat in Islamabad. These will then be processed and sent to the relevant authorities for final approvals.
Role of Educational Boards
The IBCC has emphasized that the chairpersons of all educational boards will oversee the process. Their responsibilities include:
- Supervising documentation and formalities
- Providing proper guidance to students
- Ensuring all requirements are completed within the deadline
Significance of the Initiative
This educational visit highlights the government’s commitment to celebrating academic excellence while also fostering cultural exchange. For the students, it represents an opportunity not only to be rewarded for their achievements but also to gain exposure to Türkiye’s educational and cultural environment.
By promoting international experiences at an early stage, the initiative is expected to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Türkiye while motivating future students to excel academically.
