Gold prices in Pakistan skyrocketed on Monday, breaching the historic Rs. 400,000 per tola mark amid strong global trends.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs. 5,900 in a single day, settling at Rs. 403,600 per tola in the local market.

Silver also followed the bullish trend:

  • 24K Silver (per tola): Rs. 4,792 (+Rs. 88)

  • 24K Silver (10 grams): Rs. 4,108 (+Rs. 76)

International Market Influence

On the global front, the international gold price rose by $59 per ounce, reaching $3,818 (including a $20 premium). This surge in international rates directly contributed to the record-breaking prices in Pakistan’s bullion market.

With this milestone, gold continues to strengthen its position as a safe-haven asset, reflecting both global investor demand and local currency fluctuations.
