Pakistan’s mobile phone manufacturing and assembly sector recorded a major boost in 2025, with fresh data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) showing a significant increase compared to last year. The report also highlights the top 10 mobile brands being assembled locally as of July 2025.
Strong Growth in Local Manufacturing
The PTA figures, further analyzed by Topline Research, indicate that Pakistan’s domestic mobile production continues to expand as local plants ramp up output to meet rising demand.
The top 10 mobile phone brands assembled in Pakistan during July 2025 were:
- VGO Tel – 2.12 million units
- Infinix – 2.01 million units
- Itel – 1.53 million units
- Vivo – 1.38 million units
- Xiaomi – 1.04 million units
- Samsung – 0.93 million units
- Tecno – 0.89 million units
- Q Mobile – 0.72 million units
- G’Five – 0.70 million units
- Nokia – 0.65 million units
Market Outlook
Industry experts forecast that mobile phone sales in Pakistan will grow by 7–8% over the next 12 months. The growth outlook is supported by two key factors:
- Base effects have normalized, giving the sector room to expand after an exceptional rebound in production.
- Inflation remains relatively low, easing pressure on consumer spending.
Moreover, major global brands such as Samsung and Xiaomi are expected to launch new smartphone models around September 2025, which analysts believe will further fuel consumer demand in the local market.
