Punjab Schools Announce Start Date for Winter Timings

The Punjab School Education Department has finalized a new schedule for schools across the province for the upcoming winter season.

According to sources, the revised timetable has been sent to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for approval.

Under the proposed schedule, schools will start at 8:30 a.m. and close at 2:30 p.m. once the winter timetable takes effect.

Officials said that the Saturday holiday will remain in place across all schools.

The new timings are expected to be implemented from October 20, following the chief minister’s formal approval.

Earlier, Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat took to Facebook, seeking public input on the matter by posting, “What should be winter school timings?”
