Lazawal Ishq Episode 1 Under Fire for Obscene and Cringe Style

The premiere of Lazawal Ishq, touted as Pakistan’s first reality TV dating show, has triggered significant public backlash following the release of its first episode. Hosted by actress Ayesha Omar and filmed at a villa in Turkey, the show features eight Pakistani contestants (four girls and four boys) living under one roof in a quest to find “forever love.”

The first episode, released on the show’s dedicated YouTube channel, has garnered over 128,000 views, with host Ayesha Omar introducing the contestants and facilitating initial interactions where participants shared preferences and expressed mutual likeness.

Severe Public Criticism on YouTube

Despite the high viewership, the episode is facing severe criticism on YouTube. The main point of contention for many Pakistani viewers is the show’s format, specifically the premise of unmarried girls and boys sharing a living space. The comments section reflects strong disapproval, with viewers using harsh language to criticize and call for a boycott of the program. Representative comments include: “Such a creep show! Waste of money, waste of 10 mins I spent on skipping the show.” Another wrote”It felt very bad watching this. May Allah forgive such people and guide them towards the right path.” One said, “I have reported it successfully, now it’s your turn.” One requested, “Please boycott this cheap program.” Many commenters have openly cursed the show and its makers, emphasizing the depth of public offense taken by the format.
