BYD|MMC Partners with HUBCO Green to Launch Pakistan’s Largest NEV Charging Network

This strategic collaboration is set to transform Pakistan’s mobility landscape by driving the country towards a cleaner, greener and sustainable future

Karachi, Friday, May 02, 2025: In a pioneering move into making sustainable mobility more accessible, BYD Pakistan – Mega Motor Company (BYD|MMC) has partnered with HUBCO Green (Private) Limited (HGL), a sustainability-driven subsidiary of The Hub Power Company, to launch the country’s largest DC fast-charging network for new energy vehicles (NEVs). This nation-wide rollout of infrastructure marks one of the most significant developments in the country’s shift towards electric mobility by addressing a critical gap in Pakistan’s EV ecosystem, and establishing the most extensive NEV charging network, making clean, reliable, and sustainable transportation a reality for the people of Pakistan.

As part of this strategic and groundbreaking roadmap, HGL will install approximately 128 DC fast chargers across the country over the next three years, with 50 installations planned by December 2025. The network will be strategically developed across three key areas: Urban centers will be powered through partnerships with major Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) such as PSO, PARCO Gunvor, and Attock Petroleum Limited; intercity highways and motorways with chargers placed every 150-200 kilometers to support long distance travel; and destination charging points at commercial hubs, malls, hotels, and hospitals to enhance customer convenience. Several key installations are already operational in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, including at PSO stations and BYD Pakistan dealerships.

This initiative plays a pivotal role and directly supports Pakistan’s transition toward sustainable mobility by making NEVs a viable and convenient choice for the masses. The move positions BYD Pakistan as one of the first auto manufacturers to invest in infrastructural development at an extensive level, cementing a commitment toward sustainable investment and development of Pakistan.

کراچی، 2مئی، 2025۔ پاکستان میں پائیدار سفری سہولیات کو فروغ دینے کے لئے اہم اقدام اٹھانے کے سلسلے میں BYD پاکستان – میگا موٹر کمپنی (BYD|MMC)نے حبکو پاور کمپنی کے ذیلی ادارہ، حبکو گرین پرائیویٹ لمیٹڈ (HGL) کے ساتھ شراکت داری کرلی ہے۔ اس اشتراک کے تحت ملک کا سب سے بڑا ڈی سی فاسٹ چارجنگ نیٹ ورک قائم کیا جائے گا، جو نیو انرجی وہیکلز (NEVs) کے فروغ میں اہم کردار ادا کرے گا۔ یہ ملک گیر انفراسٹرکچر نہ صرف پاکستان کے الیکٹرک گاڑیوں کے شعبے میں موجود ایک اہم خلا کو پُر کرے گا بلکہ برقی نقل و حرکت کی منتقلی میں ایک تاریخی سنگِ میل ثابت ہوگا۔ اس چارجنگ نیٹ ورک کے قیام کے ذریعے پاکستان میں صاف، قابلِ اعتماد اور ماحول دوست سفر کو حقیقت میں ڈھالا جا رہا ہے۔

اس اہم اشتراک کے تحت HGLآئندہ تین سالوں میں تقریباً 128 عدد ڈی سی فاسٹ چارجرز لگائے گا، جن میں سے 50 چارجرز 2025 کے آخر تک نصب کئے جائیں گے۔ اس انقلابی اور اسٹریٹجک منصوبے کے تحت حبکو گرین کی طرف سے یہ نیٹ ورک تین اہم شعبوں میں مربوط حکمت عملی کے ساتھ قائم کیا جائے گا۔ ان میں شہری علاقوں میں بڑی آئل مارکیٹنگ کمپنیوں جیسے پی ایس او، پارکو گنور اور اٹک پیٹرولیم لمیٹڈ کے ساتھ اشتراک قائم کیا جائے گا، شہروں کے درمیان ہائی ویز اور موٹرویز پر ہر 150 سے 200 کلومیٹر کے فاصلے پرچارجز کی تنصیب کی جائے گی اور تجارتی مراکز، شاپنگ مالز، ہوٹلز اور اسپتالوں پر چارجنگ پوائنٹس قائم کئے جائیں گے تاکہ صارفین کو چارجنگ میں مزید سہولت حاصل ہوسکے۔ کراچی، لاہور اور اسلام آباد میں پہلے ہی کئی اہم مقامات پر چارجرز کی تنصیب مکمل ہو چکی ہے، جن میں پی ایس او اسٹیشنز اور BYD پاکستان کے ڈیلرشپس شامل ہیں۔
