The Government of Punjab has opened applications for the allotment of flats to industrial workers, with special quotas reserved for widows and disabled workers as per the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Quotas for Widows and Disabled Workers

Under the plan, 3% of the flats will be reserved for widows of deceased workers, while 2% will be allocated to disabled workers, ensuring inclusivity and support for vulnerable groups.

Phase-I: Lahore and Kasur

In the first phase of the initiative, applications are being accepted from industrial workers belonging to Lahore and Kasur districts. The process has already begun at the Workers Welfare Complex, Sundar Industrial Estate, Kasur, where a total of 750 flats will be provided free of cost to eligible workers.

Application Process

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that workers can conveniently download application forms online through official government websites. Additionally, forms are also available free of charge at the offices of the Director Labour Welfare (North) and Deputy Director Labour Welfare (South), Kasur.

The deadline for submission of applications is September 8.

Allocation Formula

To ensure fair and balanced distribution, the government has allocated two-thirds of the flats for workers from Kasur, while the remaining one-third will be given to workers from Lahore.
