The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has extended the deadlines for online admissions to medical and dental colleges across Punjab. The decision aims to facilitate students and increase the number of applicants.
A UHS spokesperson said that candidates applying to public sector medical colleges can now submit their applications until November 30. The new deadline for private medical colleges is December 15.
The Provincial Admission Committee approved the extension during a meeting chaired by the Secretary of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education, Azmat Mahmood. Vice chancellors of public medical universities also attended the meeting.
For public dental colleges, the deadline has been extended to December 31. Applicants seeking admission to private dental colleges for BDS programmes may apply until January 15, 2026.
According to UHS, the earlier deadline was November 21. Officials said the revised schedule will help students who need additional time to complete their applications.
The committee unanimously agreed to the new deadlines to ensure maximum participation in the admission process.
